My guess is really a slight reduction in powder would accomodate the differrences like changing ton# of powder untill load is set up,but I don't know needless to say.

EDIT I just pulled the shell lifter out and took some measurements. It does seem like the deformation inside the hulls healthy the shape with the lifter.
